Chris + Alison / Cedarbrook Lodge

WOW, where do I even start with this wedding? The bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome and their family made me feel like part of their family from beginning to end. Held in the quiet, yet beautiful, Cedarbrook Lodge, Alison and Chris' wedding was filled with blush, gold and a whole lotta' smiles.

PS. I was also SUPER thrilled last minute that this fusion-Asian wedding opted in to do a traditional Filipino Money Dance!

First off, Alison and her bridesmaids are totally BFF goals. If you're ever stuck in a room with these girls, you'd be able to tell that they've known each other all their lives.

Meet Chris, the Groom. His groomsmen (professionally styled by no one else than Justin Songco of Downtown Seattle's Mens Wearhouse, by the way) catered to Chris' every move and emotion. Whether it was finding Chris' keys or running to the store to buy that pre-ceremony bottle of Hennessy, they had his back.

As I walked around the wedding (you know, doing my job and all that), EVERY SINGLE PERSON AROUND ME WAS COMPLIMENTING ALISON'S DRESS - EVERY SINGLE PERSON! Great job La Belle Elaine! I mean, you really can't disagree on how glamorous Alison was on her wedding day. She looked just like an angel, right?

Ceremony time! OK, quick story - the Bride, Alison, played in an orchestra for Redmond High School, reached out to her old Director and boom - Four Fortes slayed their performance for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. These amazing students definitely deserve a 4.0 after their heartwarming performance!

Chris cried. I cried a little, too. Alison looked so beautiful.

The floral for this wedding was jaw-dropping. Flora Laura not only sprinkled her magic everywhere with the wedding arch, to the bouquets and centerpieces, BUT SHE SURPRISED ALISON WITH A FLOATING BIRDCAGE FLORAL ARRANGEMENT OVER THEIR SWEETHEART TABLE. Yes - FLOATING! Can you imagine walking into your wedding and seeing this above you?

Their cake was lit - literally. And perfect. You did amazing, Lori & Scott Hashimoto! The dessert table went FAST - like, Chris was asking me where it went towards the end of the evening. It was sooo delicious!

Cedarbrook has the best landscaping around as it provides a true, authentic Northwest setting. Pair this scenery up with golden hour and boom - a photographer's happy place. Oh, and please believe I was ready to rescue Alison if she had accidentally fallen into that pond behind her (I don't even know how to swim, but I'm sure I would have figured it out, right?).

The photographer, Nick Leung, did his thaaaang and did it well - these photos are stunning.

First dance, DJ'ed by DJ D-Lion, who kept the party going all night! Danny even took super unique requests from the family, including a bunch of popular Filipino Dance songs for the Aunties and Uncles.

Speaking of Filipino songs...

Coordinating a traditional Filipino Money Dance was way too much fun! For those unfamiliar with the Filipino Money Dance, throughout the duration of a song, guests would pin cash (yes, cash money) to the Bride and Groom.  This is another form of a wedding gift for the Bride and Groom. Also, during a money dance, male guests pay to dance briefly with the bride, and sometimes female guests pay to dance with the groom. Special shout-out to the couple's emcee/officiant, Eric Muzzarelli , who did a fantastic job (see photo below) introducing and explaining the dance without confusing the guests.

And guess what else? Chris and Alison's Money Dance was SUCH a hit, we actually had to play a second song because the line was so long! And yes, that is definitley a $100 bill hanging from Alison's gorgeous wedding dress.

Congratulations, Chris and Alison! It was a pleasure to plan and coordinate your special day. #alabaSOinLOVE
